Not feeling confident about himself, he takes refuge in hip drugs and parties to avoid confronting his eating disorder, his family issues and his sexual orientation. 'Axolotl' portrays a young man who lives by the day, unwilling or incapable of thinking about his future. A nihilist attitude that mirrors the mettle of a whole generation.
